Terms and Conditions for inGerman Language Learning

1. General Information

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the contractual relationship between Jennifer von der Weiden, operating as inGerman Language Learning (“Provider”, “we”, “us”) and you, the customer (“Client”, “you”). We provide online language teaching and coaching services including access to digital courses, live speaking sessions, and individual feedback.

By enrolling in any of our offerings, including free video courses or paid programs, you accept these Terms.

2. Services Offered

We offer online language learning and coaching services. Our flagship paid program, inGerman Decoded, includes:

  • Self-paced e-learning modules
  • Live group speaking sessions via Zoom
  • Individual audio/video feedback
  • Community support
  • Additional learning materials (handouts, quizzes, etc.)

We also offer a free 5-part video series (“Say it in German”) and may invite you to join waitlists for paid programs.

3. Registration and Access

Upon registering for free offers, you create a free account with us using your email address.

For paid programs, you must provide accurate personal and billing information.

Course content is drip-released weekly, with new materials and live sessions typically accessible on Sunday evenings before each week.

Access to the course platform and live sessions is granted for the duration of the program plus one additional week for make-up sessions.

Access to Course Materials:
Clients receive lifelong access to all recorded course materials, including story recordings (audio and text), digital exercises, flashcards, grammar videos, and pronunciation videos. This access remains valid as long as the company exists in its current form.

Live Speaking Sessions:
Live Speaking Sessions are only available during the regular course period plus a one-week grace period. Missed live sessions expire after this period and cannot be made up or refunded, including for illness. Late arrivals do not entitle you to session extensions or make-ups.

Grace Period for Illness:
If attendance at 1-2 live sessions is missed due to illness, the one-week grace period applies. After this, the right to make up sessions expires.

In case of serious unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness with a medical certificate) and missing more than 2 live sessions, participation may be deferred to a later course; refunds are not granted.

4. Payment Terms

Prices are displayed on our website and communicated during sign-up.

Payments can be made in full upfront or in 3 monthly installments where available.

Early bird discounts or waitlist discounts may apply as communicated.

Payment methods include Stripe, PayPal, and major credit cards.

When instant access to prerecorded content is granted, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal is waived (see Section 5).

If an installment payment is missed, you have 2 calendar days to settle it. Failure to do so will result in suspension of access until payment is completed.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

You have a voluntary 7-day money-back guarantee starting from the official course start date. To request a refund, you must email info@in-german.com with your cancellation request and reason within this period.

Refunds will be processed promptly, and access to all course materials and sessions will be revoked immediately upon cancellation.

Due to the nature of digital content delivery and instant access, the statutory 14-day withdrawal right does not apply once you have access.

In case of serious unforeseen circumstances such as illness (documented with a medical certificate), you may request deferral to a future cohort instead of a refund. Approval and availability apply.

6. Make-Up Sessions

After the 10-week course, there is a one-week grace period with two additional live speaking sessions for students who missed up to two lessons due to illness or valid reasons.

The instructor decides which sessions are designated as make-up sessions.

No additional or extended sessions beyond this make-up week are guaranteed.

7. Client Obligations

You agree to use your access to course materials and live sessions for your personal learning only.

You may not share login credentials or course content with third parties.

Respectful behavior and active participation in live sessions are expected.

Violation of these obligations will result in immediate exclusion from further live sessions and access to recorded course materials without refund.

8. Liability and Disclaimer

We provide educational services but do not guarantee specific learning outcomes or fluency.

We disclaim liability for any direct or indirect damages from the use of our services.

Technical issues related to internet, devices, or third-party platforms are beyond our control.

9. Data Protection

Your personal data is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

By enrolling, you consent to the processing of your personal data as described.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and all contractual relations are governed by the laws of Spain.

Exclusive jurisdiction for disputes is Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time.

Changes will be published on our website. Continued use implies acceptance.
